    30 Pumpkin Puree Uses

    Pumpkin puree uses go way beyond pie! Whether you have a can of pumpkin puree hanging out in your pantry or some pumpkin puree leftover from another recipe that needs to be used, this list shares 30 ideas for general uses for pumpkin puree to specific pumpkin recipes!

    1. Smoothies.
    2. Chia pudding.
    3. Pumpkin pasta sauce.
    4. Stir in marinara or another sauce.
    5. Use as a thickener in stews or chilis.
    6. DIY pumpkin spice latte: blend a tablespoon of pumpkin puree plus a ½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice and milk or creamer of choice into a mug of coffee or black or chai tea.
    7. Pumpkin spice granola.
    8. Pumpkin muffins.
    9. Use pumpkin in place of some oil in baked goods.
    10. Stir into oatmeal.
    11. Mix with plain greek yogurt, maple syrup, and pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon for a homemade maple pumpkin spice yogurt.
    12. Stir into applesauce.
    13. Use as a spread on sandwiches or bagels (you can spread it alone or mix with honey or maple syrup or cream cheese).
    14. Pumpkin pancakes.
    15. Pumpkin waffles.
    16. Stir into a curry.
    17. Use in lasagna or as a homemade ravioli filling.
    18. Energy bites.
    19. Pumpkin granola bars.
    20. Pumpkin falafel.
    21. Pumpkin crumble bars.
    22. Mix into hummus for a lighter pumpkin hummus.
    23. Make a homemade dog treat.
    24. Stir into mac & cheese.
    25. Frozen pumpkin protein popsicles: Blend with half pumpkin, half cottage cheese, a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice, and a drizzle of maple syrup and pour into popsicle molds, then freeze.
    26. Pumpkin nice cream: Process with frozen bananas and cinnamon until a creamy, soft serve-like consistency forms.
    27. Pumpkin turkey burgers: Add a couple tablespoons to homemade turkey burgers or meatballs to keep them tender and rich.
    28. Pumpkin enchiladas: Stir a few tablespoons into enchilada sauce.
    29. Pumpkin soup (try subbing pumpkin for sweet potato in my sweet potato carrot soup recipe).
    30. Freeze it (I like to freeze it in one cup portions for the many recipes that require one cup, or in tablespoons in an ice cube tray so I can easily add to sauces, curries, pastas, and smoothies).
