Reasons You’ll Love This Recipe:
- Refreshing Sweet Treat – the most refreshingly summer sweet treat!
- Pop of Protein – while I wouldn’t call these a high protein food, they’re made with Greek yogurt, which naturally gives these popsicles a protein boost for a more balanced treat!
- 3 Ingredients – all you need is 3 ingredients!
- Sweeten to Preference – you can easily adjust the sweetener type and the sweetness level to your personal preference and needs.
- Easy to Make – blend, pour, and freeze!
- Kid-Friendly – I feel like this probably goes without saying, but these strawberry popsicles are extremely family-friendly. 🙂
Ingredient Notes & Substitutions:
For a full ingredient list with quantities, please check out the recipe card at the bottom of this post.
- Strawberries – you need two cups of strawberries. I typically use fresh, but you can use frozen (and slightly thawed), too!
- Greek Yogurt – I prefer a low-fat or even full fat Greek yogurt for popsicles. You absolutely can use fat-free Greek yogurt, but it will be icier in texture and slightly less creamy.
- Honey – adds sweetness, with a flavor that pairs beautifully with fresh, juicy strawberries. You can also use maple syrup or any non-nutritive sweetener you prefer.

Tips and Variations
- Gluten-Free– these popsicles are naturally gluten-free!
- Dairy-Free – use your favorite plant-based Greek-style yogurt alternative, or coconut cream.
- Nut-Free – the strawberry popsicles are naturally nut-free, too!
- No Added Sugar – you can use monk fruit, allulose, or any other non-nutritive sweetener you prefer (I personally am currently loving a monk fruit allulose blend!)
- Kid-Friendly – these are inherently kid-friendly 🙂 but note that if you have children under the age of 1, skip the honey, as honey is not recommended until after age 1.
- Chocolate Dip or Drizzle – for a more decadent strawberry pop experience, drizzle the frozen popsicles with melted chocolate, or give it a full dip!
- Strawberry Pieces – you can totally blend for less time or stir in fresh strawberry pieces, if you prefer that texture/ look.
Popsicle FAQs
How long do popsicles last?
Homemade popsicles will last up to one month in the freezer!
How do you store these popsicles?
Depending on the popsicle mold you have/ your freezer space, you could keep them in the mold in the freezer. Alternatively, you could use individual sandwich bags or these cute sealable popsicle bags I love!
Can you add anything else to these popsicles?
You can add a scoop of protein powder if you’re looking to boost the protein content even more!
Are these popsicles healthy?
As a realistic dietitian, I always like to remind y’all that healthy is inherently subjective — what nourishes one may be something another needs to avoid (i.e. food allergies). That said – these popsicles have super simple ingredients, one being a fresh fruit and the other being Greek yogurt naturally high in protein. I make these for myself and my kids, zero hesitation.
