Reasons You’ll Love This Recipe:

  • So simple – if you’ve got a Ninja Creami machine, you’re set!
  • Four ingredients is all you need for a simple raspberry froyo!
  • Fresh raspberry flavor – using fresh (or frozen) raspberries gives the frozen yogurt a wonderfully fresh flavor, as opposed to using an extract or other raspberry flavoring.
  • High Protein – one serving provides over 20 grams of protein, without any protein powder needed!
  • Fiber – raspberries are naturally a great source of fiber, so using fresh/ frozen raspberries adds 4 grams of fiber per serving.
  • No Added Sugar – I love using a sugar alternative to keep it free from added sugar, for my personal preferences. But you can absolutely adapt it to your own needs and preferences!

Ingredient Notes & Substitutions:

For a full ingredient list with quantities, please check out the recipe card at the bottom of this post.

  • Greek Yogurt – you can use any fat percentage Greek yogurt you have or prefer (note that it will be a bit creamier with higher fat content)
  • Raspberries – fresh or frozen both work fine!
  • Sweetener – I like to use a monk fruit allulose blend to minimize added sugar, but you can use granulated sweetener, honey, maple syrup, or any other sweetener you prefer.
  • Vanilla – I’m obsessed with vanilla bean paste and find it adds a delicious subtle flavor to the frozen yogurt that just elevates everything up a notch.

How to Make Raspberry Frozen Yogurt

For complete instructions, please check out the recipe card at the bottom of this post.

  1. Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Divide mixture evenly between two Ninja Creami pints.
  2. Cover the pints and freeze for at least 10 hours, if not 24+.
  3. Place the pint in your Ninja Creami machine and spin on “Lite” Ice cream.
  4. Proceed to respin 1-2 more times until the frozen yogurt is smooth and creamy.

Tips and Variations

  • Blend everything first to ensure a smooth mixture and no problems in your creami machine.
  • Make it seedless by straining the blended mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove and discard the seeds (note that this also decreases the fiber amount!)
  • Be sure to use two pints as the blended ingredients yield a little too much volume for one pint!
  • The mixture will look crumbly after the first “Lite Ice Cream” spin — this is normal! It’ll look like frozen yogurt after you run 1 to 2 respin cycles.
  • You don’t have to add liquid before the respin, but you can if you want to. This will make the texture softer overall, and a little less scoopable.
  • Use your preferred sweetener – I love using a monk fruit allulose blend here, to avoid any added sugar, but you can totally use granulated sugar, honey, maple syrup, or whatever you prefer.
  • Swap berries – use this same technique to make homemade ninja creami frozen yogurt with whatever berries are in season — strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and more!

Storage/ Freezing

While it’s highly unlikely you’ll have any leftovers to store 😉 (especially given that it’s split into two pints already!), you technically can store any leftover Ninja Creami, but know you’ll need to start over when you’re ready to eat again. The mixture will freeze completely solid again, so you’ll need to run the Lite Ice Cream and then Respin cycles again.

Also, a note on freezing – 24 hours freeze time really is best, but I’ve often found I can get away with 8-10 hours, if I prep a pint first thing in the morning to enjoy later that evening. 😉

  • Slivered almonds
  • Almond butter
  • Shredded coconut (extra delicious if it’s toasted!)
  • Graham crackers

Please share in the comments any fun topping and mix-in combos you like with this raspberry froyo!
