Air Fryer Pesto Crusted Salmon - with Fresh Salmon
Line the air fryer basket with a piece of foil for easier clean up. (Trim it to the size of the fish - don't cover the entire bottom of the air fryer to allow for some ventilation.)
Place the salmon skin-side down on the foil. Top salmon with pesto, then freshly grated parmesan, then breadcrumbs.
Air fry at 400ºF for 7-9 minutes.
Carefully remove fish with a fish spatula and serve immediately.

Remove salmon fillets from any packaging and rinse with cold water to remove any ice crystals/ icy coating. Pat dry with paper towels.

Place the frozen salmon skin-side down on the foil. Air fry from frozen for 7-9 minutes, or until defrosted.
After the first 7-9 minutes, remove the air fryer basket. Top salmon with pesto, then freshly grated parmesan, then breadcrumbs.
Place salmon back in the air fryer and air fry at 400ºF for an additional 7-9 minutes.
Carefully remove fish with a fish spatula and serve immediately.
Baked Pesto Salmon - with Fresh Salmon
Line a baking dish with foil and place salmon, skin-side down, on the foil.
Top salmon with pesto, then parmesan, then bread crumbs.
Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes. Salmon is done with it flakes easily with a fork and is cooked through (to 145ºF).
Carefully remove fish with a fish spatula and serve immediately.
Baked Pesto Salmon - with Frozen Salmon

Return salmon back to the oven and bake for an additional 10-12 minutes. Salmon is done with it flakes easily with a fork and is cooked through (to 145ºF).

Notes
Cook time is based on using fresh salmon in the air fryer. Frozen salmon and baked salmon will all add time.
