Sparkling Pomegranate Apple Cider Mocktail

So, obviously being pregnant right now, I’m definitely not partaking in any seasonal cocktails or adult beverages. But honestly? It’s not much of a difference for me. I’m just not a big drinker even when I’m not pregnant – I’ve just never enjoyed alcohol that much.

So this sparkling pomegranate apple cider mocktail is something I’d probably choose no matter what the other offerings are! Plus, we’re totally in that stage of life where we’ll be spending New Year’s Eve and other holidays at home, and it’s fun to have a festive drink the whole family can enjoy.

How to Make This Sparkling Pomegranate Apple Cider Mocktail

This apple cider mocktail is super simple, with just three essential ingredients. Although you can totally get a little more festive with it with some infusions – stay tuned!

The base of this mocktail recipe requires 100% pomegranate juice, sparkling water, and sparkling apple cider. For my sparkling apple cider, I always choose Martinelli’s – the only ingredient is pasteurized 100% pure carbonated apple juice from U.S. grown fresh apples, vitamin C, no water or alcohol, no concentrates, no sweeteners or chemical preservatives. Simple, and I love simple ingredients!

Sparkling Apple Cider Infusions

Now you can be as fun, festive, and extra as you want with this mocktail by using some infusions. For any of these options you can try soaking the infusions in the pomegranate juice for a few hour, or just simply add to your glasses for a fun garnish that will also impart some flavor.

  • Ginger: a thin slice of fresh ginger will go along way in adding a fun flavor zing that pairs well with both pomegranate and apple.
  • Cinnamon: a cinnamon stick makes a beautiful garnish and will impart a subtle sweet spice perfect for a festive mocktail.
  • Rosemary or Thyme: feeling a little more herbal? A spring of rosemary or thyme will add a savory herbal twist to this pomegranate apple cider mocktail.
  • Mint: a couple leaves of fresh mint is a fantastic addition if you’re wanting a sweeter herbal infusion.

There are a bunch of ways to make this mocktail your own! And of course, you could always make it a cocktail – try 1/4 cup pomegranate juice, 1/4 cup apple cider, and 1/2 cup prosecco.

And while there is no added sugar in this sparkling apple cider mocktail recipe (or any of its ingredients), you can certainly decrease the naturally occuring sugars by reducing the amount of sparkling apple cider and increasing the amount of sparkling water. The ratios as written are just what my whole family overall enjoyed best!
