The recipes that I’ve featured are a mix of personal family favorites, new recipes, and traditional recipes with an allergen-free twist (Sweet Potato Casserole without nuts or dairy, anyone?). Additionally, all the recipes are much lighter in calories and fat than the majority of your traditional holiday fare. Other flavors, like roasted garlic and fresh herbs, take center stage over cream, butter, and more butter. All of the recipes in this book, with the exception of one, are actually vegan! And the one recipe that’s not vegan is showing my favorite trick to get a smoky, salty bacon flavor without the bacon.
Furthermore, all of the ingredients in this e-book are dietitian-approved. You won’t find any canned, processed foods here! None of the recipes contain any refined sugars, with only minimal amounts of natural sweeteners like fruit and maple syrup used instead. Yes – even my cranberry sauce recipe contains zero white sugar!
